Dr. Michelle A. Novelle

I am a clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience working with children, youth, families and individuals in need of additional support including those who have experienced both chronic and discrete trauma. Counseling sessions are focused on working together on self-identified goals for either short or long term therapy.

 

My areas of expertise include the impact of ambiguous loss on adolescent identity formation, the challenges implicit in adoption and foster care, developmental disabilities and mood disorders.

 

I have managed numerous social service programs in the Boston area during my career and have extensive knowledge with respect to the resources in our community. As a leader and an advocate, I possess a deep understanding of the systems that impact one’s emotional well-being and, as such, believe in a flexible, ethical approach that allows me to work with individuals and families in the community and home, as well as the office.

I provide services in both English and Spanish.  I offer a variety of treatment approaches as well as collaboration with ancillary providers to promote both individual and family well-being and ensure that each client receives the highest standard of care.
